 | In 1978 I graduated from SWTSU with a B.S. in Elementary Education with an emphasis in music. I am certified by the state of Texas to teach elementary school with an additional kindergarten endorsement. My teaching experience includes: Wonderland School and Hill Country Christian School, San Marcos. I "homeschooled" my four children, grades K through 12. I love children and I love to teach. This year I'm looking forward to share in the lives of your children. May God bless us all as we set out together on this adventure. | My name is Janice Harvey. I have been married for 36 years, and I have two children and six grandchildren. My son teaches High School Chemistry, and his wife is a First Grade teacher. They reside with their two year old son and 3 month old daughter in Ft. Worth. My daughter is attending college at UTSA preparing to be a teacher. She and her husband and four children, ages 13, 11, 10, and 6 live in New Braunfels. My husband, Richard, retired from the military at Randolph AFB, TX. I grew up in Port Lavaca, Texas. I received my B. S. in Elementary Education from SWTSU (now Texas State) in San Marcos in 1969. Because my husband was in the military, we had the opportunity to live in many places. Our homes have been in Okinawa and Germany, as well as in the USA--Texas, New Mexico, and Mississippi. I have taught first, second, fourth, and seventh grades for a total of 25 years. I was privileged to be a “stay-at-home mom” for 13 years. I have also been a substitute teacher and a parent volunteer in the public schools, as well as a Sunday School teacher. I taught first grade for 18 years in Seguin ISD, both at Ball Elementary and Weinert Elementary. Last year was my first year at LCS. I am excited as we begin this new school year.  | Hi,my name is Laura Dodson. My husband, Jeff and I have been
married sixteen years. We have two sons who attend Lifegate. Our
oldest son is a member of the middle school football team, and our
youngest son looks forward to playing middle school basketball next
year. Go Falcons! We are active members of Lifegate Church. I
am a 1991 graduate of Howard Payne University. I hold a BA in
Sociology. I am a self-taught artist and hope that within the
next year or two LCS will have a school wide art program. I currently
teach Eighth Grade English and Literature, K-5 PE and 6-12 girl's PE.
I thoroughly enjoy teaching at LCS. I am privileged to know your
children. My verse for the year is, "He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it." 1 Thessalonians 5:24 |
 | My name is Jennifer Hines and I have been teaching children at Lifegate Christian School since the fall of 1983. I have been married to William Hines for over 20 years. We have 2 sons, Cody and Beau years. Both have attended Lifegate since kindergarten. I began my education in early childhood development at San Antonio College after graduating in the top 10% of my class at Judson High School. My professors encouraged me to pursue education. After Will and I married, we moved to Seguin where I began working at Lifegate. I started as a teacher’s aide at Lifegate and taught all level physical education. I also began the girls’ athletics program. In the fall of 1986, I received scholarships and financial aid and enrolled at Texas Lutheran College. I graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1990. During my career at Lifegate, I have taught students in grades K-8 academically, and grades K-12 in physical education. I have coached girls’ volleyball, basketball, and track. This school year I will be coaching the girls’ volleyball. The girls’ volleyball program has been blessed with 3 TAPPS State Championships since 1992. My goal is to help your children be the best they can be for the Lord and for themselves and to help Lifegate continue to be a school of excellence. In order to meet these goals, I will strive to put God first in all areas of my life. I genuinely love teaching children, and I am committed to Lifegate Christian School. | Mrs. Jamesetta McKnight is the fourth grade teacher at Lifegate. She has taught in San Antonio and retired from Seguin I.S.D. Mrs. McKnight holds a bachelor’s degree from Huston-Tillotson College , where she majored in elementary education, sociology, and history. She has also done post-graduate work at the University of the Incarnate Word and Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. She holds a primary and secondary teaching certificate from the State of Texas. Mrs. Mcknight’s favorite Bible reading is Luke Chapter 12. It tells about the value of life. She is married to Alvoyd McKnight. She enjoys teaching at Lifegate and is looking forward to a great year. |  |
 | Carrie Kraft is the fifth grade teacher at Lifegate. Carrie graduated with honors from Southwest Texas State University in 2001 with a bachelor of science in elementary education. She has lived in Seguin for many years with her husband, Jeff, and their three children, Meagan, Sam, and Paige. She and her family are members of Lifegate Church. Carrie gave her life to the Lord when she was 18 years old and has continued to grow in her faith each day. She enjoys teaching at Lifegate where she can share her faith with the students and worship God openly |
| Regina Neely retired from 29 years in area public schools, where she taught English/Language Arts for grades 6-12. She will teach 6th grade this year at LCS. Her husband Bert teaches voice at Texas State University. Daughter Monica and her husband Robert, a Foreign Service Officer, are with the State Department. Son Patrick, a West Point graduate, concluded his service in the U.S. Army last August, after tours in Germany, Kosovo, and South Korea. Daughter Elizabeth teaches middle school history and English/Language Arts in Gilroy, California. The Neelys belong to Evangelist's Lutheran Church in Kingsbury |  |
