r secretary and bookkeeper for Lifegate Church and School. Her talents in the office help make Lifegate work every day! Beth has been back at LCS for many years following a 15 year stint in the printing business. She is a native of Vermont and has been married to Tim Baitz for over 20 years. Tim and Beth also own the Laser Wash in Seguin.                                                  
 

 
Cindy Odem is our receptionist and “gate keeper” at LCS. She has been a part of the school from its beginning. She is married to Bob and has been a pastor’s wife for the past 34 years and is the mother of two daughters: Evangeline is a kindergarten teacher at Harvest Academy in Houston and Rose who works with the Outdoor Learning Center in Seguin. She loves being a pastor’s wife and mother and enjoys being at Lifegate. Cindy loves working with children and seeing them grow. She is convicted about helping your children be all they can be in the Lord. 

Mary Gates has been with LCS since 1994, serving as librarian for the last eight years. Aside from her library duties, she is also the AOP and Study Hall supervisor. Mary was born and raised in Lyford, Texas, in the Rio Grande Valley, but has been a resident of Seguin for the past nineteen years. She is an active member of Lifegate Church. Mary and her late husband Dick were blessed with three wonderful children who attended and graduated from LCS. Lori and her husband Greg Baker reside in Seguin, Stephen and his wife Sara reside in Houston, and Tim resides in Austin. She has also been blessed with three beautiful grandchildren, Ethan Jacob Gates is four years old, Peyton Elizabeth Gates is fifteen months old, and Jillian Grace Baker is one month old. One of Mary’s favorite things to do is being a Grandma. She loves to spend time with her little blessings, loving, and of course, spoiling them. : )
Mary is also committed to pray for LCS students on a daily basis, trusting God that they will have a great year, and succeed in everything that they set their hands to do. Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
