Judy Childress, Principal of Lifegate Christian School, retired from public education after serving thirty years as teacher, counselor and district testing coordinator. She considered her thirty years in public education as a "journey". Coming to Lifegate Christian School furthered her life's journey and she knows it was truly a call from the Lord to come to Lifegate Christian. Mrs. Childress desires to serve the Lord, providing leadership and guidance to students, faculty and parents.

Judy and her husband Larry live in Stockdale, TX. where her husband is now retired and running a small cattle operation. They have three grown children and two precious grandchildren.

Romans 8:28 has always been Judy's favorite verse: "All things work together for good to them that love God."

For twenty-nine years Lifegate Christian School has existed for the purpose of providing excellence in the spiritual, academic, social and personal development of young boys and girls and young men and women.  I sense the deep dedication that parents and adults have to pursue the vision that the founders of Lifegate Christian School had in 1981.  As we work together in Christian love, let us encourage our children to “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman who needeth not to be ashamed…”  2 Timothy 2:15
